2 Dog Night Studios was started in our backyard, when Rachel asked Jeremy to build a scratch board for the dogs. We’ve since evolved the company to build custom furniture — including elevated dog feeders and epoxy river tables — and other custom woodworks.

Our studio is located in the middle of Michigan in Shiawassee County, less than an hour from Flint and 15 minutes from the Lansing area.

Meet the Team

Jeremy Perkins

Founder

With more than 20 years of experience, Jeremy creates beautiful woodwork — from beds and built-ins to elevated pet feeders and charcuterie boards. His passion for woodworking is at the heart of every project.

Rachel Perkins

Director of Marketing

From social media to web design, Rachel brings the 2 Dog Night Studios brand to life through marketing and social media. She and Jeremy have been together for nearly 20 years and married since 2012.

Kimber

Head of Security

Kimber, a German Shepherd x Malinois mix, excels at alerting us when deliveries arrive and keeping unwanted people and pests from entering the premises. She was adopted in 2020 from the Kent County Animal Shelter following her weeks on the lam as a stray.

Ranger

Chief Fetch Officer

Ranger will fetch anything and everything — from balls and frisbees to scraps of wood. He was adopted in 2023 from the Malinois & Dutch Shepherd Rescue. His DNA test shows that he is 50% Australian Cattle Dog, 20% Belgian Malinois, 20% Dutch Shepherd and 10% German Shepherd.
